It’s a novel idea: a 7 day prayer guide for people who don’t go to church and are not religious!

The interesting fact is that many people pray who would not consider themselves religious. According to a survey commissioned by TEAR fund 20 million people in the UK would admit to praying.  So ‘trypraying’ is written for them. It’s in accessible language and is a simple challenge to try praying for 7 days and see what happens. It has short information articles and stories of answers to prayer. There are things to do each day as well as a short prayer to pray. It’s not a preach, but it does help people open their lives to their maker and find his influence and truth.

Trypraying was inspired by a chance conversation with a woman who explained how her aunt had become a Christian after she was given a coy of the 40 days prayer guide. That is not an ideal piece of evangelistic literature but the idea formed, ‘Maybe we could write something that would work for non Christians.

It is now in print. Copies can be ordered from the office at £1.00 each.
